You could do either or. You don't need to use the pipes that come with it anyway. I wish they would sell the prochamber by itself, would have saved a few bucks. The pipes are just taking up space in my garage.

I installed my own prochamber, getting the stock one off was the biggest pain. Everything after was easy.

With longtubes you need a shorty midpipe

soccer remember though the prochamber is made for your car...not OP's. he can't just bolt it up. he will have to have it fabbed to fit his car at a shop unless he is cutting and welding his exhaust himself

+1 They don't make a prochamber specifically for the 3.8. Custom fabbing is required. But it is easy for a shop to weld it in. The tubing that comes with either the regular version, or shorty mid pipe doesn't get used on the 3.8 anyway.

If new I'd say you're looking at $300+ for the pro chamber and install

If you have a dual exhaust already on I'd say $50-75...if you are paying for a full exhaust then normally install is $50 a side plus the $50-75 for mid pipe install

I have different mufflers (flow 10's), no cats, and 2 1/2" tubing. Changes the sound level and tone a good bit. Mine is a good bit louder than 1slosix, but that is mostly due to not having cats. Whatever you do don't use flowmaster 40's. They are waaay to quite in combination with the prochamber, and if you keep your cats you can almost forget about hearing the exhaust at all.

In short if your state will let you cut the cats out, do it.
