Im confused, what's up with this?

So, I was showing a buddy how to do a burnout in his ranger the other day, and I showed him in his 94 ranger 2.3 5sp, and my 95 v6 5sp mustang..
Was able to smoke them with both cars, but mine spins both wheels, I've never paid attention to lines I've left until that night and sure enough, 2 thick black lines.. I have a stock 7.5" with presumably stock gears.

Is there a reason I'm able to burn both tires equally?

Does anyone have a list of rpo codes for 95 stangs? Id like to check all the codes in my car out.

I did the same thing, and I'm about 100% certain I have the 7.5 open diff. but I did one in my '04 V6 Auto and left two lines as well, so if anyone has an answer I'd love to hear it.

It was odd, I did a nice long smoke out, got out of the car as smoke was still rolling out and we were talking and laughing about when the smoke clears there's gonna be one lonely line lol.. smoke cleared and 2 nice thick skunk stripes. I haven't the slightest idea why though.

I have, in the last week I've learned I can drift corners with no problems, left and right turns. Breaking traction in gravel or dirt leaves 1 line, sometimes 2. And a full on burnout, like dumping the clutch and then left foot braking and I get 2 equal lines.. I don't believe it has a t-lok, the factory tag is still on the diff cover.. any time I've seen a diff that's been opened the tags are pitched

Ill try to do one tomorrow and film it, ill link the vid if I can get it done.

Left me scratching my head lol

I've noticed a lot of peculiar things about my car since I bought it though, I have found out a lot of it was ordered custom.. it has every feature of a gt except a 5.0 under the hood. Suspension, f/r sway bars, mach 460 stereo... even the transmission is a gt trans. I'm beginning to wonder if it has a 8.8" or someone swapped a lot of stuff out in prep for a v8 swap.. if that's the case 351w here I come haha

The 8.8 wasn't an option for the v6 models but it is possible that it could have gotten swapped in. Or even a 7.5 with T-lock

Ill have to peek underneath again and decipher which rear it has.

Is it possible, if it doesn't have a 8.8 or t-lok, that somethings broke and that's what causes both tires to spin?

Could have thrown the 7.75 posi gears off American muscle in it if it isn't an 8.8

it looks like a stock 7.5 tho, which would be a open diff.. idk, I'm not gonna argue with a good thing, it doesn't whine or cause any issues, it may have been switched around idk. I'm not gonna open it up unless I have to

Yeah if it was an 8.8 with a Tlok then I would spin both the whole time. But is confusing cause mine never ever spins both.

Correct, just look for a gt rear end, anywhere between $100-$500 depending where you live

I had a 8.8 I bought for 50 bucks a while back, I'm not gonna bother swapping rears.. I've got my car on craigslist right now, I'm trying to trade for a fox gt to play with. Short of a full motor swap or forced induction there's not much more id wanna do with my car.. its already got intake, exhaust, suspension, steering, and a tune lol

I already sold it about 2 months back, guy I knew needed it for his 88, it was a 4 lug, I would have had to convert it to 5 w/discs. He gave me 150 for it so it was a good deal all around.

It turned out it had 4.56s so I would have had to have definately changed the gears haha 5 speed and 4.56s don't work too well lol

Right on, what part? I'm about an hour north of cbus

If you know anyone that might be interested in it, I'm also looking for trades. Trying to get a 87-up fox gt. Id take a lesser value fox gt or even a 79-86 with cash.

Dude, I drove an 86 svo a couple weeks ago, granted it looked rough but loks are only the tip of the iceberg.. I looked it over and it was really quite decent for the lack of owner care.. then I drove it.. it leaked more boost than it made, the clutch felt like a worn rubber band, I think I put it in 3rd but there was no definitive feeling.. I floored it and dumped the clutch and it pretty much coughed and laughed at me lol

I am, I was hoping it was gonna be same body style as mine as in 97-04 so parts could be interchanged

What do you mean? 94-98 are the sn95, 99-04 are the new edge. Chassis wise, everything is pretty much the same but the bodies are different. Mines a 95.
