No. I've heard of people doing it. But you should just buy an sr CAI off American muscle. I think they're $75

Honestly, CAI does little to nothing to our cars... Maybe a couple horses with the help of a tuner but that's it. Looks nice under the hood though. As far as taking off the silencer, it's safe but a k&n drop-in filter is recommended.

Yea. The CAI alone doesn't do much at all. With a tuner though you should get around 20ish hp

Even if you got both a CAI and a new exhaust, it doesn't quite free up as many horses as many people think. But of you also add a tune, high performance camshaft, supercharger, get rid of unnecessary weight, and maybe a few others on top of the intake and exhaust, you will see noticeable results. The results from the intake and exhaust alone are minimal, if any at all.

All of this does sound a little expensive, but noticeable performance upgrades come at a hefty price.

Not gonna lie, I loved how it cleaned up the engine at a bit. Kinda wish I hadn't sold my CAI.

Any engine degreaser on sale at autozone. I cover the air filter, coil pack, fuse box with a plastic bag then spray the whole thing with degreaser. *engine is warm* let it sit for about 10mins, then hose it down with light pressure water. Then dry it... Then tire shine on the black stuff. Lol
