Why wouldnt you want the cams to perform well over a sound?

Its all opinion when it comes to sound preference. I personally think Stage 3 Comp Cams sound the best, but those aren't that good for a non-built DD car, second place for me goes to Stage 2 comp cams, which are very streetable.

Stay at or under .460 lift for stock springs to have some life out of them. Cheap spring upgrade, LS springs and gt retainers for proper install height, handle mild lift cams (.550) just fine.

You can get a cam reground instead of spending $400 on a new one, works just as good.
