Well it begins

well it's the first week of June and im beginning to start my project for americanmuscle day

i started with doing a quick throttle modification taking out that slack out of the throttle making the petrel sit about a 1/4 inch above the break pedal

the throttle response is great and the car opens up really quick im about 2 seconds quicker in 0-60 and while running there's no bog to speed up its instant

next is my interior im tearing it down and painting and replacing something's making the car lighter

I did mine without a gun??

so next week i geting my springs Put in and has anyone installed controll arms in there car how hard is it to remove and what are the gains if any on traction??

I would "temporarily" remove them until you got a wider wheel/tire combo.....

First no you aren't 2 seconds faster because of the cable mod just clearing the air so nobody thinks this forum is giving bad info lol. All its done is help with initial response but your 0-60 is the same believe me on that.

As for the control arm swap you'll have no issues really. Just use lots of pub blaster.

I've tested and its was two seconds faster it may also contribute that everything in my car is out and it weights alot less so im sorry and yea i tried taking them off n not a budge but ima have to buy more wb40

been really busy these past few weeks but my pony isn't going to get regected
so i took apart my intake my tb out aswell

so i had some filter n switched them
im slowly improving performance by making sure my car ran good
so i seafoamed it and cleaned it out

next week oil change n alternator switched with a high rating one

When you're working in the engine bay, make sure to torque bolts to specifications, if not, just try not to tighten too hard. It gets really hot in there and when you want to take a bolt off again you might end up breaking it. Trust me it happened to me I'm just glad I had a spare set of bolts

yea i know sometimes to much is bad ima try to take my exhaust apart n replace it my self but right now im working on reliably n cleaning

what size spacer did you use? did you have to cut it down at all?

I was actually talking about the nylon spacer hahah my bad though. but hmm this got me thinking if I should go with 1.5" spacers or 2"...what size are your tires and rims?

he runs 245/45/17s on 17x8 wheels which is why they stick out so far with a 2" spacer.

no those are stock 99 GT wheels painted black. his before pics are with some type of universal wheel which i don't know the back spacing on

yea there my other gt's tires i kept then when it got totaled and i dont like using any other spacer but 2 in because u have to cut the original bolts and that's a big no because u have to kep them like that
im waiting for these tires to give out so i can put 275s on there

so i went per to my local shop an they flushed my system and woooow my fluid was blacker than my oil no wonder i had so much trouble turning my wheel i i replaced it with castrol ATF fluid and Lucas oil rack and pinion reaper fluid now it's as easy as a putting a hot knife through butter it feels great

now a question to my v6 family what should i get well my gf shes buying me something for my stand but i can't decide a gt scoop or the sequential tail lights ???
