v6 for a v8

Hey guys. So I had my 2003 v6 mustang for a year now. I was thinking about upgrading to a v8. I came across of an owner that wanta to trade his 1999 v8 mustang for a v6 mustang. Idk why he wants to do this but I was wondering if it would be a fair trade considering that he has a 99 and I have an 2003. Mine has 124,000 and he has 98,000. Both stick shift.

What condition? Usually if it sounds to good to be true it is.

Do it! Less miles and An even trade! But seems fishy that he would want to downgrade, there might be something wrong with it

this what he is asking for on Craigslist. He is selling it for $4000 or is up for a trade for a truck or v6 with saleen body kit. Since I don't have the saleen body kit on my v6 I showed him some pics of my mustang and told him it was stock. He was interested, but he said that if we do trade he wants some money on top of that because his is a v8.

I would, if you're in a market for a gt then this would probably be a good choice depending on what conditions the car is in

Or you can just bug an aftermarket hood if you end up making the trade

I'm wondering about the airbag and check engine lights being on while his car is idling

Its been in an accident, unless you know exactly what all is damaged and are ready to pay to fix it all I would pass on this. He is ok with downgrading because I'm sure he knows the real extent of the damage, and knows he can't afford to fix it.

It hit hard enough to deploy the airbags, it's not worth messing with. Especially since he wants you to pay more on top of your car.

I had a feeling it was to good to be true. But I yet haven't seen the car myself in person. I need to check it out first to see. Thanks for the feedback.
