If you do the swap yourself you save labor costs so it would be about the same. Like he says he has the V6 shell already.

Not really, you'll run into 100 things you didn't realize you needed or that break or were broken before install. Just sell the v6 and get a GT I ran through the same predicament with a Camaro and I guarantee you that you'll have more in this car than getting a tastefully modded GT without any work.
