yes since it would be your oem y pipe that would be changed up not the headers

I have the 98 as well, I just cut the y pipe turning it into my H pipe then ran my exhaust straight back. Very simple if you can wield!

Custom 2.5" pipe, its a little over 3ft of piping until its wielded to the mufflers (no mid pipe) and I cut about an inch after the o2 sensors on the stock y pipe

With all the work, extra pipe, and the kit I got it was 400 all together. I'm not satisfied with the muffler combo I had installed so I'll redo it in the future. Make sure you find the right ones first and don't cheap out! The next setup will be heartthrob mufflers with 3" tailpipes rather than the Jegs mufflers
