Caliper color recommendations

I have an 04 competition orange v6 and have been wanting to paint the calipers for a long time. I want to do them orange but to get custom paint from G2 is $99.... VHT and G2 both have a color orange but im not sure it would match very well. Any one have painted calipers on their competition orange stand?

You can never go wrong with red. Just stay away from the spray paint, not good quality.

If you want to spend that much why don't you get AM caliper covers.

I've heard they're not worth it. Just trap dust in them

Deff want to see that, I'd say look at your car, alot Of Mustangs came with an accent color
I personally say if your car is orange, I would paint them orange
Like my car is green, with gold accents, so I was going to paint my calipers gold, but I found from tirerack.com, a set of gold calipers, for about $100 more than what I would've spent painting them So I'm just going to wait and buy them, plus it's upgrading my brake calipers
If you're going to get into painting the calipers, look into drilled and slotted rotors, they sell for our mustangs on eBay for $100-$150 all the time

I have a stealth look to my car, especially with the plasti dip, so I will have grey bullitt rims I'm thinking, so the gold will be a subtle stand out

Yea, I almost bought actual Brembo yellow calipers but I found gold ones for my car
And Brembo red calipers have kind of set the stage for performance cars now a days
Most performance cars have red ones, except Corvette, I see a lot of Corvettes running Brembo yellow

$1000, my buddies Chrysler 300 SRT8, yes the 6.1 hemi, car is amazing
He bought Brembo calipers all the way around
At this time, I was thinking of buying brembos, he said be prepared to spend $2000 in calipers alone, at least that is from brembo Themselves, you might be able to find them cheaper on eBay, but if you're looking to do the front, I think you can probably cut the price in half which leads to $1000

---------- Post added at 08:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:31 PM ----------

Or maybe it was $4000 for his whole set up, i.e. brakes calipers and rotors, I don't quite remember, this was about two months ago
I guess either way, you're going to pay between $2000 and $1000

My dad had a 2010 Challenger SRT8 and those came with the Brembo brakes, and I must say those things were amazing. I couldn't believe how well that car could stop, especially considering it weight 4100 lbs.

Well see my buddy lost his left leg in a traffic accident, he was riding his motorcycle and some lady texting wasn't watching and hit him, wen we got to the hospital he was critical and his mom and dad had to make the choice to keep his leg and good chance he wldnt live or amputate, so he lost his clutch leg, so he got the 300 because its automatic with slap shift
I mean not a whole lot of sporty cars have that option stock

My dad ended up trading the Challenger on a 2013 Charger RT, fully loaded I must add. He was looking at the 300, but those didn't have the big rebates at the time of purchase. I am a big fan of the new Dodge/Chrysler cars, they really seem to have gotten their stuff together.

Yeah my friend had to get more work on his leg, and he told me if I drove him, he let me drive his car instead of using my car and gas
He's so protective over his car, only his dad and his brother are the only other people that have ever drove his car
He let me step on it once, use the slap shifter and held it in first, spun the tires through first, shifted in the second still burnt them, and chirped Em going in to third

Why don't you get a piece of sheet metal or anything really. A piece of tree bark will work. And buy the 8$ can of VHT orange, spray it and see how it matches...
