Rear Bumper cover

I read the instructions over and over. I took every bolt out of the trunk, the plugs out the bottom, and thank you screws in the wheel well, but it still wouldn't come out, what's the problem?

It's a 97 V6

Yea man, the 4 center bolt threads were like stuck in place. I took the same bumper off a 98 red mustang at the junkyard. I go to LKQ and trying to get a bumper cover for my girlfriends 97, the white one wouldn't come off for ****!

If I'm not mistaken there's 4 bolts in the side of the trunk (2 each side) and 4 more in the rear of the car inside the trunk. Basically holding the bumper lengthwise

When I took off my rear bumper in my 2004 v6 there were 4 screws in the trunk holding it on that I had to pull the bottom of the trunk up to get to and two on the sides of the bumper.

"To remove the rear bumper first remove the screws in the wheel well . now if you pull out the carpeting in the trunk you will see a nut on the inside of both fenders, and towards the rear of the trunk in the holes in the sheet metal remove all of those and the bumper cover will pull right off the rest is just unbolting all the bolts. Im sorry I dont have a camera to take pic but I hope this helps if you have any more questions let me know and I will try to help."

Reposted from another thread with a guy asking the same question hope that helps you!
