Hate to see what happened to you're engine. Had to prove I was resilient and rebuild mine. Hope you make the best out of the worst situation.

I wanna do a v8 swap but I keep hearing it too difficult and afterwards the car has no value

The cars value is what it is in the car market. If the VIN says V6, you'll get the value of a V6 even if it has a V8, V10, or V12 engine. Unless it's something that someone wants specifically. No amount of mods will make it worth more or less. It's always: condition, miles, and "do I look cool in it". Anyways. I'm sorry to hear about your car. It would be cheaper to get a junkyard V6 and out that in there. Save the engine, rebuild it, and build it up the way you want it. Look at the bright side. You have a blank 'damaged' slate to work on.

If you keep it a V6 you have to go with the 4.2, more power and it will cost the same as a 3.8.
