that is after a heavy clean up of various wet sanding steps and a buffer wheel using meguiars...they are just too micro cracked to save.

as for halos....wont happen on this car. the clear corners though would look good, but maybe just in an oem clear housing (black), not smoked...hmm

I think the clear corner smoked ones like mine would look really good with that blue. And the dark smoked would accent your hash marks in my opinion.

No thanks on the projectors...I need to see at night on the back roads so light output is my first priority...I think I'll just order me some new 55w 6ks and clear lenses

But thanks for the opinion I appreciate the feedback

I've got back roads like that down here....my lights actually always lit up TN roads better...but I put the gold pack Sylvania bulbs in and they're even brighter now. I've got the raxiom smoked halo projectors and they light it up pretty good

I have 55w 12v thick ballast with 8k bulbs ( 55w washes some of the blue out, i think it refines it nicely ) but...
If your looking for absolute best visibility 6k ( or bright white ) is the absolute best.. I personally wanted the slight hint of blue so i went 8k

Ballast is what heats the gases in the bulbs them selves( HID bulbs ) to put off the correct Kelvin for the color. HID = High Intensity Discharge so if you wanna look at it as the ballast is a turbo for the lights to make them hotter to emit a brighter and more intense discharge of light... This is how i think of it atleaat lol

4300k is stock brightness, 6000k is bright white, 8k is just as bright but with a slight blue hue.. Then it gets deeper in blue as you go up till you get to 30k which is purple

And yess if your looking for easy to see out with HID kit then the Bi-Xenon kit 6k or 8k is good ( 12v 55w ballast are best for maximum brightness )

Hey, scattered blinding light. Just what oncoming traffic wants to see.

Op, thank god you don't like the halo fad everyone is getting into. Can't help but laugh at them.

Are HIDs just the bulbs? Could I put some in my halo lights?
