Well I'm in the same boat as you in the stock part. just ordered a flowmaster force 2 dual exhaust which will add to performance of the motor and the sound of the car. I'm also putting in a cold air intake which will increase performance a tad bit

We've found between 16 -20 more rear wheel horsepower with this kit combined with the required SCT tune. Power you can feel!

Steeda 2005-09 V6 Mustang Cold Air Intake - Made in the USA 555-3124

Nice exhaust upgrade:

Steeda Axle-Back Exhaust for 2005-2009 Ford Mustang V6

Throttle Body Space-

Steeda 2005-10 V6 Mustang Throttle Body Spacer - Made in the USA

There isn't a lot of HP you can add with these cars ... but you will see a noticible difference with the items listed above in a package.

You can also upgrade some gears as well.

Best Regards,

TJ

I read the year up top wrong ...

here you go ...

Steeda 1999-04 V6 Mustang Cold Air Intake - Made in the USA 555-3122 Expect 9 to 13 rear wheel horsepower depending on model year.

Steeda's V6 Cat-Back Stainless Steel Dual Exhaust kit gives your Mustang a throaty sound and up to 20 more horsepower!

Steeda Stainless Cat-Back Exhaust for 1999 thru 2004 Ford Mustang V6

Best Regards,

TJ

You can also look into a windstar intake swap. One of the best upgrades other than FI

Not entirely sure. Try googling it or maybe a user who has done the swap will chime in. I know for sure one user here has done it. I'm buying a kit in the next couple of weeks muself
