Old it be direct fit? Or is it too big

It would fit perfectly. But you'll have to replace more than just the engine

Engine bay harness, dash harness, gauge cluster, trans, ecu, the list goes on unless the car is wrecked your gettin the motor from I'd just buy the entire car and have an 01 cobra original. Oh and if you want it to look like a cobra, you need bumper covers and wheels and badges

If you are a master mechanic like Aaron Kaufmann you could do this without a donor car. If you want to know how hard it is, watch Fast N Loud. He puts a 4.6 in a '67 F-250 that is nicknamed Frankenstein.
