B&M Hammer Console Ratchet Shifter

I've honestly been contemplating on buying this. Would it be worth it? Does anyone else have this on there automatics? What's the perks of having it? Any information would be helpful thanks

I wanted to buy one as well. It's really just a replacement for your stock shifter, except you can shift hard one at a time. Compared to the stock which you can go all the way to D if you're not soft with it. Also prevent you from possibly screwing up your tranny by going into reverse. I don't think there are any real gains with it to be honest. If someone else knows more i hope they jump in cuz I wanna know as well lol. I think I'm just going to save for full manual swap.

i've only read bad reviews on them. looks wise i'd rather just get a ball, and o/d relocation button with a boot.

From what I've heard, how it works is that you have it in the shifting position, and just like your normal shift or now, it has one, two, drive, neutral, reverse, Park
Supposedly what the rachet shifter does is shift your first two gears like on your stock shifter, then the next shift puts it in drive, you don't shift through all four gears
So when you start out on the rachet shifter, if you're on a normal shifter you'd be all the way down at one, when you bump the ratchet, it takes you into the second on the standard shift, bump the ratchet again, and it puts you in drive on the stock one

You will need to install a shift kit if you want to start shifting manually and a stall would make it even better. If not you will blow head gaskets a lot

Haha you guys made my decision. I won't be making that purchase. Just seems too pointless for an automatic
