I still haven't got to this mod yet haha. Here's some pictures of the pedal today. I'm lifting it all the way up with my finger. I don't think that's normal. Lol.

could be a stretched cable...add the spacer for a cheap fix but if it's a cable issue i'd get that replaced sooner then later. nothing worse then snapping a cable while driving lol. i lost a clutch cable that way one time...luckily i was near an autoparts so i just bought a new one and swapped the cable in a parking lot
