Why Three Break Lights?

So i just realized this today after changing out one of my tail light bulbs. The two bulbs on the outside flash for the turn signal and the same for hazards, and they also turn on when braking. But what is the inside light for? haha this im sure is a stupid question but im just curious.

Geniuses at ford decided that the third light would only light up when your headlights are on. Breaks, signals, and hazards only turn on two builds on each side. One way to bypass is the sequential tail light kit. It looks WAY better when all three bulbs light up when breaking. Especially in sequence

Haha! whats the point of having one only light up when head lights are on? well thanks for the info. I will be doing the sequential lights soon. would you recommend plug in or splice in?

There's two types, the harness and plug and play. What's the difference between the two packages?

Looks awesome! I'm going to get them soon. Why should I pick these over AMs? Purely just price?
