Foglight installation troubleshooting

Got the wiring kit from vmp and I'm trying to do this without any electrical experience, wired the orange to the positive, black to negative, the reds to the foglights and the following blacks were grounded to bolts, ran the blue wire and spliced it to the white/black stripe wire, installed the fuse, switch is working because I see the light but I haven't gotten the foglights to turn on yet... Do I have to do anything with the box that all the wires are connected to? Instructions pictures are small and unclear, any suggestions or things to check?

It looks to me like it came already plugged into the wiring harness

And also I'm getting ready to swap out stock fog bulbs for 35watt hids, I won't need a stronger fuse or anything right? Just using VMP's kit

Here's the ballast and the rest of the hid conversion kit, and the 15 amp fuse for the little fuse box on the wiring harness, should work fine? As soon as I find a ground on the driver side for the foglight
