Whats The Best Setup

For true duals. That's next on my list. Don't even care how much they cost. Yes i know it matter about opinion of the sound you want it. I just want recommendations on it and ill make the decision. And oh yeah unfortunately I'm gonna be keeping the cats on. Due to emissions test in NN

I like my pypes x-pipe with bbk headers. Gives it a little mean rasp. But I wish it was louder. I live in Cali and I still "pass" smog with my setup so I'm sure you can do the same.

Well to be honest we are all going to be extremely biased on this subject lol. I love my borla stingers with my Mac pro chamber...my advice is to go on YouTube and our exhaust sticky and just listen to what you like.

don't get shorties, the only gains they offer is looks.
Long-tubes have performance and sound.
Our V6's don't really need a mid pipe, so divorced duals is an option and will sound pretty good,
If you WANT a mid-pipe, h-pipe or pro-chamber's don't have the rasp x-pipes usually have.
Personally I've always liked flowmasters 10's or 40's, or straight pipes.
Something that will make a HUGE difference in your exhaust is an aftermarket camshaft. If you ever want to get a different idle, lumpier or smoother this is what your going to need.

I don't really have expertise in V6 exhaust but I pass Ohio emissions with gutted out cats. So pretty much an off road h. So I'm pretty sure you will pass emissions with an o/r setup as long as they don't do a visual check.

Well in Ohio, our emissions codes are very lenient compared to other places, You can literally cut the cats out in Ohio, and it will still pass emissions

They put our cars on ramps and get a camera to inspect the bottom for the exhausts.

California sucks. Can't have long tubes can't have shorties have to have cats and it HAS to pass the sniffer. Anything that doesn't come stock on the car will fail you. Unless it has the CARB sticker. I pay $150 to get my car smogged

So glad i live in a rural area in california. emissions still the same kinda, we just dont have ours annually. You smog it when you sell it. I could run catless and get away with it.

Pay more. I have cats an my car still doesn't pass. Have to pay a hefty fine of $150 every two years. And I'm in Cali, prettying the strictest state in emissions. If you're gone go that route might as well go all the way and delete everything that'll help your car out like egr etc

Do you guys normally get a big red sticker on you windshield that says REJECTED? Lol cause we do. We get 30 days to fix it or you just get fines after that. Idk if I want to do all that hassle

Nope! We just go and get it fixed. If we still can't pass smog we just can't get our tags and we have to put the car on non-op and not drive it or else they'll charge you fees for not paying your tags on time. And you can't pay them until you got your smog. I think they give you a 30 day grace period after your tags expire though

See do you guys have to get emissions done like every 2 years or something, like in ohio only reason we ever do, atleast were I am is if you have a salvage title and it needs inspected to become salvage rebuilt, since iv always had clear title cars, I've never had to deal with emissions

You have to get smog (emissions) done every two years on your car new or old. Only exceptions are cars older than '72. You can do pretty much anything to an old cars engine and it will be street legal. You also have to get smog done when you change ownership of a car like when you buy a car in a private sale. The smog certificate is good for 90 days so you have 90 days to show the DMV

Kind of on off topic. I went to my uncles Meineke and asked about divorcing the duels. He said don't do it. He has a x on 67 camed Eleanor. Does any one know where to hear a 218/226 cam with x?

The 67 eleanor is probably a odd firing engine, OUR V6's are even firing and don't need a mid-pipe to balance exhaust pressure. Mid-pipes are not needed, they can give you a little power, but mostly they change the sound a little.
NOW if the engine was odd-firing, I think the x-pipe does do better than most mid-pipes at balancing the exhaust pressure.(I don't know much about prochambers, but they might do better)
