Buying a mustang

I found a 2002 mustang v6 for $4900 and I'm wondering if it would be a good choice to go for it or not. It is a sonic blue mustang with a 5-speed manual transmission. It has "The premium Mach sound system with 6 CD, power steering/windows/seat/trunk/mirrors. 3:73 Posi-Traction for higher performance and winter driving. 18" chrome summer wheels and complete set of 16" Blizzaks on factory aluminum wheels for winter confidence. Well maintained, driven easy, no rust, no leaks, very reliable. New clutch. Non-smoking. 153K miles (actual is slightly lower because 3:73 gearing)." .... I took the description right from the owner. Any responses would be appreciated! And btw, I am 16 and it will be my first car

well if his mileage is off due his gears then he hasn't had it tuned...which in a 5 speed won't hurt things so much, but will throw off the speedo so keep that in mind. i'd offer $4200 cash and see where you can meet as long as it's in as good a shape as you believe...btw i love sonic blue, but i might be biased.

Too much, that's 2v money. 3500 would seem better

Yeah I figured he didn't have it tuned if his mileage was off due to his gears.. How much should I expect to pay for a decent tune?

$379 for the cheapest tuner, or $269 for the chip. I think they have the same performance. Most people go with the tuner though.
I think you have to send the chip in to get custom tunes.
