3.8 sc motor swap

I was wondering what it would take to put a 1994 super coupe 3.8 supercharged in to my 97 stang.

Holy smokes! I have never thought about that. Not that surprising since I don't have a V6. I wonder why I havent heard of anyone considering this. Sounds like a good idea to me...

It has been done. I can not follow the right link under the right post. Guess you need to be a member.

Externally, all rwd 3.8/4.2 blocks are the same, mounts are not an issue

Send a message via AIM to SpectorV
you have to use nearly everything from the supercoupe motor, its not as simple as bolton and go, plus the end results are meh, you would do far better to find a used vortech kit etc and install that.

94-95 mustang 3.8 - 145bhp 215 tq
96-98 mustang 3.8 - 150bhp 215 tq

99-03 mustang 3.8 - 190bhp 220 tq
2004 mustang 3.9 - 193bhp 220 tq

94 supercoupe - 210bhp 315 tq

An extra 95 ft lbs of torque isn't too shabby, but hp increase over the 99-04 isn't anything to write home about. Much more worth while on a 94-98 mustang. Still a lot of money and work.

I had some extra time and found the answer today.
You will need a costume built fuel rail that is return less.
The brake ling coming out of the M.C.will interfere with the I.C. tube.
Make shure the tune has p.a.p.s. off.Any good tuner should know this.
Here are a lot of pics. of the build.
