^This is correct. The clutch cable can be used with your new steel quadrant! If you're power shifting or have a high performance clutch, a factory plastic quadrant will flex. And when it does, it can wear out your synchros or even break, resulting in damage to your clutch.This clutch quadrant is made to stand up to even the quickest shifts without flexing, ensuring long clutch life.
