New exhaust system

So I have a true dual exhaust already installed and it gives me a very low aggressive sound I love. I just want it a lot louder so people can hear me coming. Any ideas?

You know how much that would cost me? I saw on American muscle the loud mouth. I think it's made by slp or something like that. Does that take place of the muffler?

No.

And depends which brand you choose.
I bought the bassani off road x and love it. But i believe v8's systems cost more so my price wouldnt be accurate. Just browse on am. High flow cats will help a little to and you might want that for inspection since you also live in nc

Yeah I was just reading about the inspection. How do you use off road pipes and still pass?

(this was typed before the other posts were made lol ) the mid pipe would connect your duals together before your mufflers. when he says off road he means no cats which will make it louder.

you can do a few things...weld up fake cats, hollowed cats, or heat shields...as for the CEL you can use MIL eliminators, a tune, or sometimes the spark plug non fouler works well.

Hey so I looked under my car today and it seems I have two pipes coming from the engine going into on then back into two coming out. Using one muffler. Do you know anything about this exhaust or what to do to make it louder??

ah you have a 1 in 2 out design...it's like a fake dual exhaust (it is but isn't a dual setup lol)...if you want it louder it's an easy fix just take it to any exhaust shop and have them true dual it. if you check out the exhaust sticky i made you'll see the difference in a y pipe (like you have now) and a true dual setup. what muffler do you have on it now? can you post a pic of it

It's using one muffler though? it must be a two in two out muffler

Like this

I've always wanted to use one as a mid pipe, then not even bother using mufflers farther down the piping.

I'll try to get a pic of it. How much would it cost to switch it to true dual?

No that's not what it looks like. It goes into a muffler but its just one in. Not two. I'll try and post a pic

a good option is to buy the jegs universal kit. then you go to any shop and they will cut off your y pipe..weld in the universal kit, and go into whatever mufflers you want. your choice if you want to buy a 2nd muffler like you have now or buy 2 new ones..

as for my own personal preference i like an h pipe, but if money isn't an issue look into a prochamber. i love mine

in all reality every exhaust is the same performace wise when u go o/r ( cat less) u get beter performance than wih cats and if u want good power after u bought all ur mods like exhaust cai and other goodies that re available u et a tunner tht will tie everything up nicely and make everything work together

not so much better performance with cats you just shift your power band by increasing the exhaust velocity. usually it moves from bottom to top end at least that's how my GT felt.

It's illegal to run without cats isn't it?

remeber it's beter to have researched and took your time then to do it on a limb n then have something u dont like or something that will get u in trouble

the fit is all up to the shop welding it together...there's ample pipe to make a great mid pipe.
