Cigarette lighter delete?

Have you guys plugged up the cigarette lighter? I plan on making mine in the dash and having the cable for my charger come out somewhere else? If anyone's done this let me know. I just want to cover it up or find something to plug it up. If anything ill just put an "eject" button on there for giggles

The dealership makes a no smoking cover. LOL eject button sounds better.

Yeah well I tapped into the wires and put a 12v charger for my iPhone inside the dash and made it come out of the ac knobs for less cable cluttering also put my Bluetooth microphone inside my vent now I need to find something to plug my other lighter. Something creative and such. I did google cigarette lighter delete an that was the first thing that popped up

Finished product and process

I still use the acc port as my line lock. I have a controller that plugs in there. can't stand switches and gauges in a car, too much clutter.

No cutting involved. I have the double din bezel. You guys with 99 and 00 have the single din. Which has those two separate holes. If you want a double din unit the. You have to get a radio bezel from an 01-04 mustang and a little fabrication is needed
