a lot of people mistake the extra sound for performance. you will loose low end torque by deleting cats on a stock v6. most people did not buy the v6 for performance in the first place.

Don't let just one person's misinformation deter you from going catless. I encourage you to ask 3.8 owners that have the cats removed what they think. I noticed a positive difference, and even more so after the tune.

I'm on my 3rd because my girl wants something with good gas mileage.. So I've had my go around with exhaust.. Never did anything and had a loss in performance..

I'm sorry but I don't agree what so ever with this "if you delete your.cats, you'll lose power" that's bull. First.off, cats are only there for the Co2 emmsions. Second, the.whole point of.your exhaust is to alow your engine to exhale. The better flow of not having cats there in the first place not only makes.it sound better, but will perform better too. There is a reason flowmaster and companies like them make high-flow cats. It's to.losen up those tight ends in the cats that cause poor air movemt through the system if you're state has such inspection restrictions. Lucky in Ohio I.don't have to deal with that and I'm waiting to get the money togeather to get a off-road x-pipe for my 95 v6. Dunno about PA though when I move to goto.UTI.

Take this from a current automotive student who's been researching and learning about this for 3 years so far. I may only be 18 , but I know.what I'm talking about.

Sorry about any bad spelling and grammar, using my phone.

THE MAIN POINT IS TO GET A TUNE. The o2 sensors only compensate for about 5% of gas mileage. With no cats and no tune the car will run rich because OB2 does not have enough sensors to perfect the combustion process when altered. Why no knock sensor? Why? OB2 hates learning curves
