California emisions laws

So I live in Los Angeles Cali where the laws are pretty strict about emissions and I wanted to get an exhaust system that would pass the smog check

U can get a catback system or axlebacks! As far as full exhaust with header or mid pipe I don't think any would pass! U can get a mid pipe & then switch it out with the stock whenever u have testing!! Or jut find a shop that'll pass u there's plenty of those in the hoods! Haha.

Anything you do after the cats is legal as long as you have some form of mufflers. I have an o/r midpipe that I swapped out, so wen it's time for smog I put it on jacks and swap the stock one back in. And I had different mufflers welded in. Really easy to get away with Catless exhaust in Cali. For headers you need headers with the CARB sticker on them.

I have to pay extra for my smog. It's just CAI and exhaust; bbk headers pypes x with hi flow cats and pypes mufflers with dual exhaust. None of which is acceptable by California standards. And I get at least 60 more miles per tank than my stock sixxer

Whatever you do after the cats is legal as long as you have a form of mufflers... I studied the smog laws before I even got my Mustang. Anything before the cats must have the CARB sticker on it.
