no. if you want to swap a GT motor you're going to have to swap over everything from the GT.

Pick up a complete 8.8 for 100-500 bucks. No sense having the 4.6 and a 7.5 with an open diff.

You can drive with it, no problem. It won't last long if you have a heavy foot.

As long as he doesn't let the clutch fly a lot with that heavy foot

Anything from 94-04 will bolt in. Just the 99-04 rears are 3in wider in total then the 94-98 rears. They will still all bolt up the same though. My 96 has an 8.8 from a 2000gt bolted in with no problems at all

No, its not a limited slip/ posi track diff. You need to find one that is. Try finding one that came off an actual gt mustang. The whole point of it is.to get both tires.spinning.

Anything from 94-04. Only thing different is that the 99-04 rears are 3 inches wider from hub to hub which gives the car a more aggressive look in my opinion. But it bolts up the exact same.

Nah, its off a foxbody. It Wont Bolt on. Try.calling a local scrap/salvage yard and see if they have a wrecked GT that still has a good rear. Just remember to make sure its within 1994 and 2004.

It will bolt right in no problem. It's just foxbodys had 4lug and drum brake. Your best options are to find one from a 99-04 gt they were more common to have limited slip differentials

My friend is running a fox rear in his car, just need 94-98 length axles and transfer your disc brakes and other brackets over to it, it will tuck your wheels in .75" each side.
