35W and 55w is what determins how bright they are, 6000k and 8000k etc are your colors, although you can see better with 6000k since it's pure white and not blue

When ordering off DDM do you need any of these? Mounting Brackets, HID Harness, Error Eliminator, and Adaptor cables? And will the 55w fit into the raxiom smoked projectors?

I heard you need to get the mounting brackets and the HID harness, but not the error eliminators or the adaptor cables.

All you need is your ballasts and bulbs. I got my 55w HID's and nothing but the ballasts. I mounted mine under my intake and one in my battery using 3M double sided tape. If slo doesn't post a picture by the time I go on break ill post one up for you

All using 3M tape. One taped to the battery. One on the chassis under the intake and that's it no mounting brackets no nothing. Easy to take off too hard to fall off

Are u running 35w or 55w? And I would still get the mounting bracket just to make it easier because it is only $2.99 more.

55w because of smoked lenses. Honestly it's easier with the tape. I bought the brackets and never used them. You have to drill into your chassis to screw them on there

Did u get yours from DDM tuning? Ya I have smoked headlights also and I was looking at getting 55w headlights and fog lights but I can't decide between 6000k or 5000k for brightness.

Yep, DDM tuning with a lifetime guarantee. I'm lucky I live about an hour away from their HQ. one of my ballasts went out and I took it in, they checked it and replaced it for free. I got 6000k looks blue but it looks good. 6000k or 8000k is good. Any higher it's just white, any lower you'll get yellow

Wrong. 5-6k is just about pure white, lower you will start to get yellow. 8k to about 10k will be blue. 12k+ gets to be purple.

Correct...I myself run 5k in my heads and 6k in my fogs so they match up really well.

The visibility is great! I don't blind incoming traffic either. And as to what soccrluvr said I remember that I have 8000k. looks great with the smoked lenses not sure how it would look like in the stock housing though, probably too bright

I was for a while like I had on my GT. Didn't like it after a few weeks on sonic blue so I bought all new ones.

Unless you have adjusted them to point directly at the ground you are blinding oncoming traffic.

I would have been pulled over multiple times if my lights blinded traffic. Police officers come out in packs at night in my town.

I'm just going by the pictures you posted. Scattered light not aimed. Looks pretty blinding to me.

Easy test, go stand about 20 ft in front of your car at night and take a picture. I'll take one of my silverstar ultras and we'll see which one is scattered and blinding.

even if you take a picture he will argue...believe me I have a picture showing how great my cutoff is but that isn't good enough. I just wouldn't worry about it. If you are getting flashed or pulled over then aim lower..if not then you're golden.

True, haha but it is a nice picture idea so I'm gonna take it anyways. Like I said cops have been in front of me and stopped on a light oncoming traffic, even a motorcycle cop and I have yet to see a ticket for them. Highway patrols pretty nice about them to, got a speeding ticket, checked out my car, told me to get new front tires and that's it

Yeah I've been pulled over for other things...and my lights are always on since its night and they never mention. Well one trooper did but he was saying how good it looked compared to stock.

HIDs on mustangs really aren't that bad, even if they aren't angled properly...particularly when compared to others who have projector lights (more focused, mustangs may spread but a focused headlight is truly blinding, i've seen some on cars with angel eyes or projectors and I literally could not see where I was going) and vehicles that sit higher up. HIDS imo should be banned on trucks, even worse on trucks that are raised.

I've been running HIDS in my headlights/fogs since about 2008/2009, 35 watts, 6K with no problems, bulbs haven't gone out and I have never been commented on about my lights by any officer.

PS, isn't it 25 feet away, not 20?

I've been blinded by a high sitting Chevy before. It was behind me and I had no choice but to pull over

+1 I've had trucks behind me with HIDs, they always blind me, so I slow down to a crawl to annoy them and so they can pass.
