Silly question about engine/car dying..

I hear a lot of things about cars dying when they have a lot of miles on them..so do the cars really die?? Or is it the engine that runs out of miles? Like if my engine had 300k miles on it...could I just get another engine? Hehe

to answer that yes you could. however when swapping the engine due to mileage you'd also want to replace anything else that has seen better days as well. but as long as you have the cash to do so you could in theory keep a car for your whole lifetime.

Yeah you can get a new engine put in, but like what was mentioned above, your suspension, steering, transmission, rear end, etc. will also have the same miles and won't be in much better shape.
