#13 Fuse

I have a 1995 3.8 Mustang. Just bought it for my wife. When we bought the car the dash lights didn't work and I figured it was a fuse. The #13 fuse (10 amp) was blown so I replaced it. When I turned the headlights on it blew the same fuse again. After reading in this forum I thought it might be the headlight switch so I put a new one in and as soon as I turned on the headlights it blew the fuse again. I'm lost and don't know anything else to try. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, kprier

Maybe some wires are crossed or the lights aren't grounded correctly. Open up your hood and check your grounds they should be right on top of the lights in the chassis

Oh NO!!

Like I said I read a lot in the forum before I signed up. Somewhere a wise man told another to check the last thing he installed to the car. The last thing was the radio, so, I took the radio out and found that I had put 3 yellow wires from the car to 1 yellow wire on the radio. I disconnected all the yellow wires and poof I had dash lights. I put them back together one by one until I blew a fuse. I left that wire out and put the rest together. Now I have dash lights! Thanks, kprier

Hope fully that is all I need yogic mine. Only the cubby is gone and I see what I think was a red and white stereo wire, and an oil pressure gauge mounted inside that space. Could that affect the dimmer?
