cam setup

I'm looking at a couple different setups right now, but for my n/a project I'm thinking of getting a 224/230 .55-.55, 114lsa, with 1.7 rockers. Will that give me the quick acceleration I'm looking for??

I forget are you still single port? also what is your trans setup?

That's more of a higher end cam than low end. But other factors play into more than just can specs. List everything you have done or will be done with cam please

Stock heads with bigger valves cut in or ported too? Ported lower or stock?

224/230 little on the big side for stock ports if so.

Also I can set you with a cam for cheaper than the ssm cam you posted if you wish, just send me a pm.

4angle valve job and stage 2 porting on heads and lower intake. Would the chemistry of that setup run smoothly in your opinion?

Ah I like to hear that it's ported some lol

It should work alright, if you're not geared I would recommend getting 3.73's or so. Like I said the bottom end is kinda sluggish with bigger cam.

Maybe would tighten up the lsa if its going to stay an N/A, a 112 or so.

Yeah I'm going the 8.8, 3.90 route after my next pay check. I think I'd do a 110 lsa so I can get more torque and hit the power band earlier
