4.2 build worth it?

I'm getting ready to build a 4.2, I'm gonna use a stock f150 bottom end, get the heads p&p bigger valves and milled, p&p lower intake, windstar upper (Mabey gasket match) a cam, idk the spec, and some long tubes, do you guys think ill be happy with the power I get from this? I wanna keep up with my buddy's g35, I was thinking about the 5.4 swap but I drive 50 miles a day to work at ford, so mpgs is definitely a factor, anyone have a similar setup as a daily?

I still get 21-22 and I drive like an ***, I got 19.5 when I went to the track lol big heads stalled auto with 3.73's I think it does good for what it is, have it tuned good and you can still average good. My friend won't listen to me when I tell him that, he drives nicer and has less power than me and still gets worse mileage because of his tune haha.

You'll be happy for a little while, but everyone gets the urge for more power sooner or later, that's why I'm boosting soon.

Idk if I've talked to you yet about a cam or not, but pm me if I haven't, I can get you one for a decent price.

I can tell you the parts to go with it from comp, you'll just have to measure for pushrod length upon install I can't really say what length those would be for a regrind cam.

Yes completely worth it. I noticed a lot more low end power when I did it.
AND mines untuned, with single-port heads. I think I'm pushing close to 180hp at the crank, thats just guesstimate though. With split-port heads and a tune it'd be running a lot better.

Well mine can run 13's on street tires, I can beat most 3V gt's, the new edge gt's aren't really a race unless they're doing 5000+rpm clutch drops at the track and hook up.

13.7 run has a 11.58 1000' my best 1000' is about .4 fast as you can see on slip, so about a 13.2X-13.3X is very possible, that's just with a crappy 2.0 60' lol
