I think it sounds good on the gt but not loud, which I mean makes it a no go for me because I like loud

don't build a single muffler setup you'll dislike how it sounds when you line up against a true dual v6. keep saving so you can get 2 if you're going that route

BBK Varitune Mustang Muffler - Stainless Steel 2.5in (79-04 All, Excludes 99-04 Cobra) 31015
This is one of ams mufflers, has diff sizes and material
We're really excited about the BBK Varitune Muffler. This is something very unique and game changing to the exhaust world! You can literally adjust the tone of your exhaust with the twist of a valve... This is something I've always thought about! I love having a nice mellow tone sometimes and other days I would love to have a muffler delete or straight through design, BBK's Varitune can actually do this. We've been working very closely with BBK over the last few years to build this system!

The BBK Varitune performance mufflers utilize an internal "Adjustable Power Valve". When in the closed position the valve blocks the exhaust flow forcing it through all three chambers of the muffler for a classic mellow sound. When in the open position the valve is straight through allowing it to take the path of lease resistance to act more like a straight-through muffler for a rich throaty exhaust note.

We offer this system in Aluminized and Stainless steel! I think you guys will really like this system. The video's don't do this exhaust justice, it sounds great in person!

Please let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance. Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

In theory, yes. It can go from a chambered calm calm muffler to a straight through design like a loud mouth set up!

Difference will be it has to cut corners when it flows through there so the loudness wont compare with SLP but it should be loud. I havent heard these but sounds like its gonna be like flows

No, it has a bolt that u twist and it turns it to a straight through pipe, but wen you close it, then it goes through corners muffling the sound

Bbk needs to make a electric servo that you clamp on to the pipe so us foxes,sn-95's,and new edges can adjust the spin at the flick of a switch like an electric cutout. I have thought of buying these but I'm not about jacking my car up every week to make it loud or quiet and to be honest it a great idea but needs and electric adjustment option. Also what's it going to sound like, flowmaster/magnaflow/mbrp/kooks all have signature sounds and I have never heard a bbk muffler before.

It's an offset muffler so what i was saying its not going straight through, technically it is but it goes in then has to turn flow to get to the other side. Thats not causing any difference i know but still

---------- Post added at 02:22 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:20 PM ----------

Yeah really it would be a pita to jack the car up every time, not everyone has access to a garage to fix it.

Better than having a one tone exhaust note. Beats buying new mufflers every time.

Except when you have no cats and have it on loud comeing home at 1:00am, then the electric adjustment would be awesome to have
