I have a 01 v6, i definatly suggest the flowmaster 40's ( gives it a classic rumble every mustang owner wants) then getting a h pipe from MAC and if later on you want to complete a the set get a pair of long tube headers

Honestly 40's are the best in my opinion, I don't like the sound of slp's on sixxers.

What's the midpipe of the first one or is it divorced? If its not divorced, that's the difference

Oh okay I misunderstood the question. Offset is just where the pipes go in. Offset means that the pipe hole is on one end on one side and then on the other side on the other end (diagonal from each other). That's all that means. And other than that, there is no difference. Original 40 is the name. If they say 40s that's what it is. Unless it is super 40

I just ordered my flowmaster 40s from advanced auto
Now all I need to do is take it to the exhaust shop and get my divorced duals!

I agree the 40's are the best sounding exhaust system though. It has a roar to it like no one else has to offer
