is the air temp sensor important?

I have a CAI off of a 01 gt, I bought for parts. The CAI fits everywhere else. Except for the air temp sensor. My sensor screws in and the other just pops in? Would form-a-gasket work to hold it? or am I better off just blocking the hole?

yes you need it...and you can buy universal air temp sensor grommets at any autoparts in the CAI isle. just find one that'll let yours press in snug. you may have to drill the CAI hole a bit but not hard even with a round file.
