Are you completely sure? It'll let stuff in. It had a little bit of hair and bugs in it

Nah, keep it on if you have the stock air box. It's just a secondary filter . Folks with a CAI don't have them because there's no room. It's up to you, no gains no nothin'.

you just have to be careful when putting your CAI back together, it is a bit of a pain to hold it while tightening everything but it fits.

believe it or not that screen has a purpose. it's job is to straighten the airflow before it goes over the maf sensor. not installing it may not be a noticeable difference to some of you, but the maf will never read 100% accurate. it's not a filter for debris like some think.

It didn't fit in the lip on it though? I took it back apart and tried but it doesn't fit. What will it do if its not there?

could cause the maf to read incorrectly...on an N/A setup won't bother you in most cases...boosted a mis reading maf is bad news.

It's not really noticeable so you don't have to worry. It's just a little mesh screen. I doubt anyone here runs it if they have a CAI. Just avoid the headache and leave it out

possibly just put the stock in the aftermarket...but with making 400 to the wheels on 8lbs he wants to keep everything up to par before next months step up to 12lb. although i don't see why he wants more....the 448 ft lbs of tq throws you back in the seat instantly lol. just seems like it's overkill for a DD
