Hand held tuner v6 99-04

What's up guys haven't posted in a while.

After I've gotten all of the usual v6 upgrades CAI, true duels and some other little things it's time for a handheld tuner.

My two questions are:

Which should I get bama or....?

Then what questions do they typically ask you as to what you've done to your stang? Does anyone have pics of the web form for bama? Just wanna see what alls I can upgrade that will be helped out by a tune and what won't.

I hate my BAMA tune. You tell them what mods. are on your vehicle and they decide if it can be tuned. For example: a under drive pulley can not be tuned.

There's a ton of great tuners out there for Mustangs! I'm confident you'll be really happy with whoever you go with. A bolt on new edge V6 won't see huge gains from a custom tune but it will definitely pull everything together and pick up some power! You'll be probably see about 12-15 RWHP from a custom tune on your Sixxer. You'll also notice gains in torque, acceleration, drive ability, gas mileage, throttle response etc..

Hit the Bama team up and they can give you a ton of information about our tunes and help you out with the 19 questions! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

I'm sorry to hear you feel that way! We can definitely look into your tune and make some adjustments. Shoot me a PM with your order number and I'll have a bama tuning specialist reach out to you right away!

You're correct, there's some set ups that we can't tune for. We can tune for just about everything, besides some superchargers and some extremely radical cams. We recommend strapping the car down to a dyno for those items! As far as under drive pulleys go, they're not a tune required item so there is no necessary adjustments for them.

I hope this helps! I look forward to speaking with you.

If I was to buy a tuner for my current 2000 gt, then traded it in for a 2014 could I use the same tuner with different tunes?

So is there a difference in the actual tune quality or just the customer service?

From the past week or two talk to Ortiz, he has much more variety of types of tunes because they arnt quite as mass produced, so he takes time with each person to nail down what you need and want, not just what mods you have..

Awesome thanks y'all! Ill probably email or call and ask a few questions. I mean his is 400 as to bama being 379....355 after our 6% discount. So I mean I'd pay 45 more for better customer service and better tunes. Plus if he tunes everything I have done want to do in the future then I'd save that 45.

I'm going with Ortiz as well. And I'm pretty sure Bama dies a good job but that's what happens when you get many customers. Quantity guess up and quality goes down. They don't have enough people to data log so many cars

They never datalog at bama, give you a general tune for what mods are listed and send you on your way hoping not to have to hear back from you about a problem.
