T5 ratios

I've heard if you swap the trans for the t5 in the 4 cylinder mustang it has better gearing ratio, anyone know the actual ratios between stock 01 v6 t-5 and the 4cylinder fox body, also does the input shaft work?

Not sure on input shaft for the 4 bangers, but they have steeper 1st and 2nd gears

I wouldn't waste the time honestly, your trans is set up nicely just like any normal T-5 will be limited to 350ft-lbs before it starts going down the drain (which won't be a problem for most sixer guys lol)

Thanks!!,

So if anyone was intrested you can get a little better gearing with the t-5 from the 93-94 5.0 same 1st gear ratio so 1st won't be completely useless, 2nd and 3rd are a little taller wich should help with acceleration, 4th is still 1-1 and 5th is longer than ours, so if you have 3.73s this is a much better overdrive for cruising than ours, and input shaft is the same and the same length, holds a little more torque too
