what is the difference ? *

Does a mustang work better with back pressure (muffler/tips) ?
When i first got my cats deleted and the xpipe i drived around with not a single muffler until the next week that the magnaflow that i ordered arrived ,when i would floor the pedal i would respond almost as before now i have a magnaflow & and original ford silencer muffler and when i floor the pedal i feel a big difference i can acctually feel the acceleration
**And of course having no mufflers makes the car sound like 10 times louder than stock.

so you have a magnaflow muffler and stock muffler? i'm so confused.....and well backpressure means pretty much nothing on a non boosted car. but do you have pics of your exhaust because it doesn't make sense to me.

Yea i just didnt have enough at that time and since my bro did not want to get frustrated when going upnorth we decided to install the oem on the other side as soon as i get the other magnaflow installed ill post pics of my exhoust to get more ideas for future ugrades

And i still dont have the pipes runing to the back so it would make alot of noise with no mufflers or only one

No mufflers sucks. No back pressure and takes forever to get to 60.

It's all in you're head, mufflers won't add much but sound and weight

He's right, back pressure gaining torque is a myth especially on NA cars. On FI cars you want the least back pressure possible.

Agreed. The 3.8 doesn't put down enough power anyway. Mufflers or not shoul d have little to no effect other than sound.

People ofter confuse losses in torque to back pressure, when the actual reason is air velocity.

Thank you someone besides me that calls it air velocity...we aren't boosted so don't worry about back pressure.

The HP loss and gain most feel isn't either....its just a shift in the power band either from low to top or vice versa op.
