Cut off 3 inches. Divided by two and you will get the 1.5 inches you want.

what about the rear springs? I thought if they had that pigtail at the bottom you shouldn't cut them because it won't fit correctly when cut?

they look good, I think ill do the same cuts. but for the rear springs I am still confused. I'm not supposed to cut the pigtail end right? but if I cut the from the top will it still fit correctly when I put it back on? because I noticed the last coil had a slight bend to it so that it sits almost level.

when you pull the spring you'll see which end needs to be cut...it can only sit in there one way. honestly it's been 3 years since i cut a set so i don't recall. however i do remember when you look at it that you can only cut it one way to go back in.

so this is how it turned out, I kept the top isolators on in the front and kept the bottom isolators on in the rear. I love the new look. By Tuesday I should have my GT rims on.

Still no mater how high you jack it up there will still be tension in the springs and when snapped that force is going to do damage and its jut not smart it's easier and safer to remove them and then cut them trust me my friend last thing you want is for you or your car getting hurt

And like always remember
Work smarter not harder

If you cut the spring off in the car still you'll have catastrophic consequences. Just imagine cutting the tension of the spring. It'll shoot randomly even though it's not fully compressed
