Odometer broken?

Is there any way to fix a broken odometer? Like does the cars computer log the mileage and you can just fix the odometer to read the same?

If you replace the gage cluster you will screw up P.A.T.S. and your car wont crank. It can be set at the dealership . The only other alternative when changing a cluster is turn P.A.T.S. off with a tune

I have a Grand Prix that I drive in nasty weather. Only two places to get a odometer, one in Ohio and one in California. But you can't order one, it has to come from the dealer, who has to install it. They call give them the mileage, overnight it and the dealer installs it the next day. Over $200 or more.

If it is the odometer itself (keeps up with miles) that is not working you can get an odometer repair kit on Amazon for $26. Then go to Utube for directions for installation. It is only a gear and a worm gear that you replace. Takes about 45 minutes. I did mine and it works great. It just starts the mileage from where it was broken. If this is not the same problem, I'm sorry for your time.

Did you get the cluster fixed. Looks like you have a 2005 and up. You can buy steppers on ebay and other places. I also calibrated my cluster myself, But mine is 2002. This is the info I got from this company that sells stepper motors and their number, They are from ebay:

No stepper motors were not used until 2005 but we do have the servo motors for your mustang if you need them. They are not sold on ebay and are pretty expensive compared to stepper motors. Call my shop if you have any questions. 832.638.1295

P.S. I can't believe they charge a lot of money for calibration. Two seconds it's done. HAHAHAHAHA You sure your speed sensor isn't shot?
