Help

Okay so today after school I got my car and drove it home which is about 3 miles maybe and the whole way home I could smell gas which I think that's what I was cause it smelt like gas lol and then I went to go take off from a stop sign and my car wouldn't go it was in drive and it was just revving up like it was in neutral and then the tires chirped and then I started to go I think that the trans is slipping that's what that is right
