Theft? - Mustang Evolution

Theft?

Accidentally drained my battery and so I'm trying to jump my car but the red theft light will not turn off my car won't start... Is there a security system on my car stock it's a base model 1999 mustang

use a different key, may have to get ford to reprogram your key.. try your spare

Yes, it's called PATS, I had the same thing happen to me, had to hook up my friends battery to my car, then lock and unlock with the remote, then turn it on, and then off to switch batteries again, then jumped my battery. I hope that works for you

When I bought the car it didn't come with a remote...would it still work?

yah if your theft light is staying on and your unable to start your car that key will need to be reprogrammed by ford. so use your spare and should work.. update after you try
