Excess wheelspin

Hey guys, I bought new winter tires for my car a year ago and have gone through one winter. This year they still had deep tread and looked great, but recently I have been going sideways and spinning my tires (not on purpose) on the dry pavement.

Is there any other reason for this to be happening, or are the tires just loosing grip that fast?

Thank you

What is the outside temp when you're driving on the dry pavement? Too warm and the compounds used in the winter tires won't stick as well.

Makes total sense yes thank you it's been 7 degrees Celsius and that is too warm for winter tires.

I thought by letting my end loose in some instance I wore out the whole tread in half a year.

Thank you
