Supercharger?

My friend was talking to me today about superchargers from mid 90s thunderbirds on the 3.8, would this be something I could put on my 2001?

You'd have to swap to single port, so unless you find a really cheap thunderbird setup I would go a different route. That is what we call a super coupe swap

Are you going to pay a shop to do it or are you mechanically inclined to do it yourself?

If you're already split port it's pretty much a waste of time after all the modifications you would need to do, would be better off using a procharger vortec etc

+1 you have to go slower before going faster with the single port

Good luck finding all the parts. Do you have another vehicle while yours is down? It's gonna take a weekend or more

You can also put a Cobra supercharger on the split port and get better numbers.

There's no way you can boost a NE for 500 bucks. Just buy yourself some basic bolton mods coz it's not worth it.

At a lot of places 500 won't even get you the dyno tune you'll need after the build is done
