Even more problems

2003 V6 has some sort of knocking noise coming from the rear of the car. Going over speed bumps and the car hits the bump BAD. Feels like my exhaust is taking a pounding, and I'm stumped. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Push down on the back of the car. If it is stiff the shocks are good. If it is springy the shocks are bad.

Would the shocks be causing the knock noise as well?

is it just going over speed bumps?
Is the sound coming from the rear or the rear-end differential?

Just speed bumps. Figured out the sound is because the muffler hanger is a little loose. But my car still hits pretty bad:/

It's probably the suspension mine does it, I had three guys sitting on the back and it did that.
My suspension works fine if I'm only the one in the car though.

Weeelll. Fixed the knocking, and the hitting. Swapped all 4 shocks/struts and re-tightened the mid-pipe bolts. They loosened since I replaced the manifolds with shorty headers.

Is Your mother-in-law still in the trunk? Open trunk, throw in one bottled water, close trunk, drive down the road.
