longer starts

So I've been noticing it takes longer for my car to start than usual and sometimes I have to step on the gas to help it turn on (04 v6 manual)

Fuel pump? How does it idle? Maybe a battery

It idles at about 800

Check plugs, air filter, and fuel pump before spending time and money on other maybes.

One more thing I bought a cold air intake on american muscle and one of the plastics went loose

The couplings that hold the tubes together, I had one slip slightly off. Car ran like ****...
Just tighten them if that's the case

Yeah it did and can't tighten it i had to cut one a little because it was to narrow on one end it didnt fit any were so I made adjustments

Err..... The problem was a faulty battery for some odd reason it wasnt giving enough power to turn on but it was at full charge and yes cleaned the poles but I got a new one and also installed halo head lights from american muscle

Ya i just had a battery go bad on me. It was an ultima red top and i didnt want to believe it was bad so i searched for shorts till finally i took a deep breath and use my battery tester...125 cca "replace battery"
