Is it my idle Air Control Valve?

Recently everytime I crank my 1999 v6 it does this weird rumbling noise and my RPMs just jump up and down really quickly. Its like its a really bad idle. Its of course only when its in idle as well. But my check engine light doesnt come on tho. Just wondering if this could be what it is. Thanks!!!

From what you just described, I would say yes, your IAC is probably worn out...

Thanks y'all! Hopefully thats what it is because its a really simple fix if so and a cheap part (compared to others). How would I check to make sure thats what it really is? Just unhook it and start up the engine and if it runs smooth then thats it?

Disconnect the negative battery cable before you get started. When you get finshed let the engine idle for about 15 minutes so the ECU can relearn the idle. That's it!

I thought it was mine as well, took it to a shop not only will an iacv go out but also the upper and lower intake manifold gaskets. Which mine need to be replaced before i can put a tune on it.
