My brother and I are thinking about piecing our own supercharger kit together by looking at vortech's kit. Which centrifugal supercharger is better, procharger or vortech? Would it be a good idea to add an intercooler for the vortech since only the procharger is intercooled? Or would the procharger be a better supercharger. Also, how hard would it be to make our own bracket for the headunit? If anyone happens to have a bracket installed could you give us the dimensions?
1. I would go with procharger. I've only heard good things. I believe their DS1 head is the best.
2. Always intercool!
3. If you are a good metal fab person, making a mounting unit wouldn't be a struggle.
I know a metal fab guy who made his own X-pipe.
Easy and fun.
This is where I heard about the procharger robbing more power than the vortech. Although if the procharger is self lubricating, will I need to tap the oil pan?

Alright I'll look into the Procharger. Would you suggest to go with a low mileage used head unit or new head unit? Also how do you tell if it is in good condition?
I've picked up a used eaton with 20,000 and my eaton has 92,000 on my cobra totally stock.
I would go new or get on SVT performance and buy a used one, 99% of mustang guys won't sell you ****ty stuff.
New if u want piece of mind.
Procharger I have never used, make sure it spins with out clanking or any odd sounds
