99 bullitt swap

So I saw a 99 bullitt engine for sale and wanted to know what would I need for the swap onto an 04 v6? Would it be worth the 1350$

---------- Post added at 10:34 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:32 PM ----------

It comes with the ecu and the wire harness

The Bullitt mustang was only made in 2001. And not if you have the transmission, radiator, wiring, computer and a lot more from tht GT~~~ It not really worth it if you up to it and if you got the cash.
IMO your better off selling your sixxer and buyin a GT.

There was no Bullitt in '99. Only made the NewEdge Bullitts in 2001.
This would be an easier swap if you had the whole car.

It's a simple 4.6 2v with a special intake. Not much else to it.

Yep. The only thing special about the Bullitt engine is the intake manifold.
It is pretty nice, and, it is a desirable piece so make sure that it is a Bullitt engine before you make a deal.
To answer your question about price is difficult without knowing the history of the engine.
The intake manifold is probably the most valuable part of the package though, and I've seen people ASKING around $800 for the intake system. Asking that price, I don't know if thats what they're actually getting.
It's always better if the engine is still in the car so that you can at least hear it run.

Swapping in a V8 don't forget new struts up front and GT springs because the engine is going to be heavier.

Good point, ask to hear the engine run. You will probably invest $3,000 if you get the engine, computer, and wiring harness for that price. Excluding labor.

It's not really a big miss out. Engine wise that intake is the only special thing really.
